Founded in 2013 by Mark Anderson. Based in Wānaka, we build architecturally designed homes across Wānaka — working closely with architects, engineers, and homeowners who expect the best.
Every project is different. What remains constant is the standard: meticulous detailing, honest communication, and an experience that feels considered at every stage. We take on a select number of builds each year, which means Mark is hands-on from start to finish.
Our builds include a range of high-end architectural homes, from custom homes to certified Passive House projects. MA Building is one of the few Passive House Institute (PHI) certified builders in the Wānaka region — a credential that speaks to our approach across every build.

Mark Anderson is a Registered Master Builder, NZ Certified Builder, and Licensed Building Practitioner with over two decades of building experience, having built some of Wānaka's most demanding and design-forward homes.
He founded MA Building in 2013 with a straightforward ambition: to build beautifully, carefully, and in genuine partnership with the people who work with him. That hasn't changed.
Mark leads every project personally, and the relationships he builds — with you, your architects, and trade partners — are as important as the homes themselves.
